Cappadocia extension program with two ways
domestic flight:
Cappadocia
may seem like a lost world to the arriving traveler.
It is almost a fairy tale landscape, where you
expect elves and fairies to emerge through little
doorways in the rocks you are standing on. Millions
of years ago the landscape was covered with a
torrent of lava. Later floods, rain and wind sawed
away the lava rock, creating deep valleys and
fissures, and slopes turned into cones and columns.
The white dust from the rocks looks like sand,
but it is quite fertile, and trees, vines and
vegetables grow quite easily in it. The rock is
also perfect for carving entire buildings - homes,
stables, chapels and cells for hermits and monks.
Thousands of rock churches can be found in the
area, and many people still live in the rock formations,
which are cool in the summer. Cappadocia is a
region rich in history and natural wonder.
Day 1 Upon arrival to Istanbul, you will
be met and transferred to your hotel, which is
located right on the shores of the Marmara Sea.
The rest of your day is at leisure.
