Dikili is primarily a summer resort for families from Istanbul and Izmir. There is a decent beach here, but Dikili’s most important feature is its large wharf capable of serving enormous ships, so the town often serves as a drop-off point for visitors coming to see the fantastic nearby ruins of Bergama.
